Network Visualization and Analysis
There are diverse starting-points for the optimization of a production or logistics network, but they are seldom apparent at first sight. To visualize how single factors can influence the entire network and to underpin strategic decision making with facts and figures ORion-PI® Value Network Optimization contains functionalities for the network visualization and analysis.
To illustrate calculated network scenarios ORion-PI® offers multiple views and filters. Material flows, for example, can be indicated with the help of geographic maps or in form of data tables. As information can be detailed and filtered in many different ways the software yields a very high degree of transparency disclosing many hidden relations within the network.
The representation of the network is based on geographic information. It e.g. allows to look up distances in order to rate transport relations. If required, you can visualize process flows as well as changes within the network. At the push of a button, you can retrieve any figure related with any node in the network in the “dynamic table”. It even allows the comparison of several locations. To get a general idea of the network and possible optimization scenarios the results of your planning process can be represented in various reports. The generated tables give information about cost aspects, down to the level of SKU’s. Cost types, even landed costs, thereby can be traced onto every level of the supply chain.
The ORion-PI® Data Browser facilitates the network analysis as it evaluates and visualizes all planning results according to your requirements. Optimization and simulation scenarios can be compared on any level of detail. The Data Browser supports all common forms of analyses as all data can be directly exported to Microsoft Excel. Furthermore, results can be exported into charts and tables directly into HTML-pages.
