Axxom achieves significant sales and profit growthThe Munich-based technology company defies the demanding market environment and continues to grow in 2009Munich, January 27 – Axxom Software AG has closed the 2009 fiscal year with a significant sales and profit growth. The company recorded a double-digit percental revenue increase. Axxom’s earnings developed positively with a remarkable increase, too. The Munich-based company also is confident about the current year, expecting similar growth rates. A strong international business was Axxom’s key growth driver. Large-volume orders from Brazil, Japan and the USA increased the foreign sales volume to an all-time high of around 45 percent. The domestic business, however, contributed to this positive results, too. Developments in the logistics, supply chain management and staff planning consulting business also were particularly pleasant. “Our professional and competent consulting services were critical factors for this successful result”, says Dr. Christoph Plapp, CEO of Axxom Software AG. “We have proven during the recent years that the combination of system and logistics competence on the one hand and deep industry expertise on the other hand provides substantial short- and long-term benefits for our customers. The increasing number of consulting projects proves this successful concept right.” The Munich-based company expects the positive business development to continue in 2010. This forecast is based on numerous concrete inquiries from customers and prospects as well as a high order volume. “The increasing volatility and planning uncertainty is the company’s current main challenge“, Dr. Plapp explains. “Therefore, we expect a continued increasing demand for solutions and services for human resources and production planning as well as logistics and supply chain optimization. These solutions and services will enable companies to simulate various scenarios and be perfectly prepared for future developments.
